Culver City spending and budget votes
The largest recent Council money decisions: the FY 2026–27 budget, up to $48 million in lease revenue bonds, a $21 million loan commitment for Jubilo Village affordable housing, a $2.5 million donation to the school district, and a voter-approved quarter-cent sales tax. Most passed with Freddy Puza, Bryan Fish and Yasmine-Imani McMorrin voting yes. Amounts are authorizations and commitments, not final spending.

Timeline
- Voters passed Measure CL, a quarter-cent general sales tax, with more than two-thirds voting yes. It took effect Jan. 1, 2026 and the City estimates about $5.6 million a year. [1]

The money decisions
- Jubilo Village loan: $14M City funds + $1M state grant passed through as a loan + $6M Housing Authority funds. Replaces a 2024 commitment of a $4M loan and $1M grant. Lease-up uses the City's local preference policy. [1]
